Amazon, of the leading companies in the world and perhaps the biggest retailer has launched one of its latest product.
And this latest product is proves that technology is way too innovative moving quick in lightening speed.
The new Pavlok wrist band is aimed towards people who hope to break some bad, dirty habits like smoking, biting nails or eating junk food.
The bracelet administers a small electric shock to the person whenever they have the urge to indulge in their bad habit.
According to the manufacturer: “Pavlok allows you to speak your reptile brain’s language by adding an unpleasant element (a safe and harmless ‘zap’ of electricity on your wrist) to what you have been taught to love (your nasty lingering habit), quickly conditioning your mind to associate an ‘unpleasant’ feeling with your bad habit… and stopping it all together.”
Speaking to ABC News the inventor of the device said: “It feels like if you were to touch a doorknob after rubbing your socks on the carpet.”
He added: “There’s a real power in using a little bit of pain to help you break your bad habits.”
The band also comes with an accompanying app that means other can administer the shock if they feel you’re giving in to your habits.
The band is currently on sale on Amazon for $199.99 (€177) which is roughly ₦72,000.
