Basketball Legend Kobe Bryant Dies in Helicopter Crash

Basketball legend Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash following a fire outbreak while on board. Emergency operations were underway and even did all they could but the crash took the lives of all onboard.

Kobe Bryant was traveling with at least 3 other people in his private helicopter when it went down. It is reported that a fire broke out but emergency personnel responded quickly, 5 people are already confirmed dead.

TMZ said Bryant was traveling with at least three other people in his private helicopter when it went down in Calabasas, about 40 miles (65 km) northwest of Los Angeles.

His wife Vanessa Bryant was not among those on board.

Kobe Bryant is survived by his wife Vanessa, and their four daughters — Gianna, Natalia and Bianca and their newborn child Capri.

Kobe is widely considered a basketball legend making him one of the greatest NBA players of all time — making 18 All-Star teams during his 20 year career with the LosAngelos Lakers.

The Lakers famously retired both of Kobe’s jerseys, number 8 and 24 … the only player in team history to receive that honor.
