Andrew Symonds died in a single-vehicle car accident on May 14, 2022, rather than by suicide. Following the accident, he took his final breath in Queensland.

He was 46 years old when he passed away. The accident happened in Hervey Range, some 50 kilometers from Townsville.

“Emergency responders attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver and lone occupant; nevertheless, he died of his injuries,” according to the police statement. The incident occurred on Saturday, sometime after 11 p.m.
