The FBI currently trailing Brian Laundrie have found human remains including a backpack and a notebook which belong to Brian Laundrie. Brian Laundrie’s belongings were found in a nature reserve in North Port, Florida.
According to family attorney Steve Bertolino, Brian Laundrie’s parents were at the reserve when human remains and some of their son’s belongings were discovered on Wednesday. The family attorney said;
“Chris and Roberta Laundrie were at the reserve earlier today when human remains and some of Brian’s possessions were located in an area where they had initially advised law enforcement that Brian may be,” Bertolino said. “Chris and Roberta will wait for the forensic identification of the human remains before making any additional comments.”
The discovery comes as investigators continue their hunt for Laundrie, which has already lasted over a month, and try to put together what happened to Petito. The items found at the reserve also indicate that Brian Laundrie’s items were recently submerged inside water.
Authorities at the scene also said,
“Earlier today, investigators found what appears to be human remains, along with personal items, such as a backpack and notebook, belonging to Brian Laundrie,” FBI Tampa Division Special Agent in Charge Michael McPherson said in a press conference. These items were found in an area that up until recently have been under water,”
Gabby accepted Brian’s proposal in 2020, and the two began planning their wedding. Despite the fact that they had wedding plans, Gabby left in late August of 2021.
Authorities are still investigating what happened to Gabby and Brian as they traveled across the American West this summer.
Gabby’s parents reported her missing on September 11 after Brian returned to his parents’ house without her. Officials have also reported that Gabby’s remains were located on September 19 in Wyoming. Brian Laundrie went missing on September 14th, and his whereabouts are still unknown.
