Denis Zakaria (born 20 November 1996) is a Swiss professional footballer who currently plays for Serie A club Juventus and the Switzerland national team.
Zakaria, who was born in Geneva, Switzerland, to a South Sudanese mother and a Congolese father, began his career with local club Servette.
Zakaria signed a four-year contract with Young Boys in June 2015 for an undisclosed fee. On 18 July 2015, he made his Swiss Super League debut against FC Zürich in a 1-1 away draw, replacing Alexander Gerndt after 79 minutes.
Zakaria signed a five-year contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach in June 2017.
He was brought in to replace Mahmoud Dahoud, who had left the club for Borussia Dortmund. The fee paid to Young Boys for Zakaria has been reported to be €10 million. In 125 appearances for Borussia Mönchengladbach, Zakaria scored 11 goals.
Zakaria signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Serie A club Juventus on January 31, 2022, with six months remaining on his contract. Zakaria made his debut on February 6th, scoring in the 61st minute to help his team defeat Hellas Verona 2-0.
