Drew McIntyre (born 6 June 1985) is a professional wrestler from Scotland. He is currently under contract with WWE, where he performs under the ring name Drew McIntyre for the SmackDown brand.

McIntyre is a two-time WWE Champion, a one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, a one-time NXT Champion, and a two-time WWE (Raw) Tag Team Champion, as well as the recipient of the 2020 Slammy Award for “Superstar of the Year.”

He wrestled as Drew Galloway outside of WWE from 2001 to 2007 and again from 2014 to 2017, most notably for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where he won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and the Impact Grand Championship.

Galloway debuted for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in the Battle of Los Angeles tournament in August of 2015.

On Night 2, he was eliminated by eventual winner “Speedball” Mike Bailey. The following night, he teamed with Chuck Taylor, Aero Star, Drew Gulak, and Trent to defeat Timothy Thatcher, Andrew Everett, Drago, and Tommaso Ciampa in a ten-man tag match.

On the independent circuit, he is the inaugural and two-time ICW World Heavyweight Champion, one-time Evolve Champion, one-time Open the Freedom Gate Champion, two-time Evolve Tag Team Champion, and one-time WCPW Champion.

Galloway returned to WWE in April 2017 under the ring name Drew McIntyre and joined its then-developmental brand NXT, where he won the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III, becoming the first man to win the championship in his TakeOver in-ring debut and the first WWE wrestler to hold it after winning a championship on the main roster.

He won the Raw Tag Team Championship, the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble match, and the WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 36 – Night 2 upon his return to WWE’s main roster in 2018.

He is the 31st Triple Crown champion and the first British WWE world champion. Galloway has won five world championships in professional wrestling.

Galloway became engaged to Taryn Terrell (also known as Tiffany) in July 2009, and they were married in Las Vegas in May 2010. They separated in May 2011.

Angela, Galloway’s mother, passed away on November 3, 2012 at the age of 51.

On December 10, 2016, he wed Kaitlyn Frohnapfel, and the couple currently resides in Tampa, Florida.

Galloway is a fan of the Scottish soccer team Rangers. In real life, he is close friends with the Irish professional wrestler Sheamus, with whom he rose to prominence in the British and Irish independent circuit.
