More details have emerged about why Willy Obiano, the departing governor of Anambra State, and his wife abruptly left the location of the swearing-in ceremony of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the state’s new governor.
Obiano’s wife, Ebelechukwu, allegedly slapped Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, at the ceremony, according to the PUNCH.
As at the time of reporting this report, the cause of the clash had not been determined.
However, it was reported that when Soludo was sworn in, Ebelechukwu walked up to Bianca’s seat and the two women instantly engaged in a fisticuff. The terrible scene grabbed the attention of security agents and a few celebrities, who yanked Mrs Obiano from Bianca’s grip, who was visibly shocked.
Before normalcy was restored and Obiano’s wife was escorted out of the venue, there was a temporary commotion at the venue as people ran helter-skelter.
