The show was later canceled and he became the beat reporter for New York Mets. Ed also started hosting Mets Extra and later became the program’s fill-in play-by-play announcer.
He still hosts weekly programs on Sunday afternoon and evening for the National Football League regular season. Prior to joining WFAN, Coleman reported for the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics, as well as the 1994 Winter Olympics.
