Harriet is an American politician and attorney who is running for the Republican nomination for the United States House of Representatives in Wyoming in 2022.

Previously, she was a candidate for Wyoming governor in 2018. In the Republican primary, she finished third.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in 1986 from the University of Wyoming.

She clerked for a federal pleas judge and practiced law in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado. She worked with the state government from 2001 to 2003 to overturn the federal roadless rule.

Harriet co-founded the Wyoming Conservation Alliance in 2004. In 2014, she was a member of the Liz Cheney for U.S. Senate campaign.

She defeated Liz Cheney, Anthony Bouchard, Robyn Belinskey, and Denton Knapp in the Republican primary for Wyoming’s At-large Congressional District on August 16, 2022.

According to the Federal Election Commission, Cheney, who was first elected to represent this district in 2016, Bouchard, and Hageman led the primary fundraising race heading into the final month of the campaign.

She served as a Wyoming state senator from 2016 to 2022, representing the state’s 6th district.

Harriet, 59, was born on October 18, 1962, in Fort Laramie, Wyoming, to an American white heritage family.

Harriet Hageman’s parents are James Hageman and Marion Malvin. Harriet was raised by her father, James Hageman, and mother, Marion Malvin, on a ranch outside of Fort Laramie, Wyoming.

Furthermore, her father, James, is a well-known American politician, businessman, and rancher who served in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1982 until his death in 2006.

James served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He established a ranch in Fort Laramie, Wyoming, after returning from Germany.
