Jackie Walorski Religion
Jackie Walorski is a Christian by Religion and practices Christianity as her faith. She volunteered as a Christian missionary in Romania in the early 200os alongside her husband.
Jackie and her husband Dean Swihart served as Christian missionaries for four years in Romania, where they established and oversaw a foundation that gave food and medical supplies to the country’s underprivileged children.

From 2013 until her passing in 2022, Jackie Walorski served as a legislator for Indiana’s 2nd congressional district.
Jackie Walorski, who represents Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District, has lived all her life in Indiana and was born and nurtured in South Bend.
As the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Worker and Family Support and a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, Jackie is committed to advancing opportunities for American workers to succeed, empowering people to lead fulfilling lives, and supporting small businesses and manufacturers. She works to hold members of the House to the highest standards of openness, responsibility, and ethical conduct as the ranking member of the House Ethics Committee.
Jackie was first elected to Congress in 2012, and she is committed to defending Indiana citizens, advancing economic development, enhancing national security, aiding our armed forces, and preserving the American Dream. In the 113th Congress, she served on the House Budget Committee, the House Armed Services Committee, the House Veterans Affairs Committee, and the House Agriculture Committee, where she served as chair of the Nutrition Subcommittee.
Jackie served three terms in the Indiana Statehouse prior to her election to Congress, where she rose to the position of Assistant Floor Leader and partnered with the state’s former governor, Mitch Daniels, to restore fiscal responsibility, reform the tax and healthcare systems, and advance Indiana’s economic development.
