On Thursday night, after rumors of his death started circulating on social media, his mother, Beverly Samuels-Burch, confirmed to NBC News that her son had died — and that she found out online.

What Happened To Kevin Samuels

Officers were dispatched to an apartment in the area on Thursday morning after reports of “a person hurt,” according to the Atlanta Police Department.

First responders were administering CPR on an unresponsive man who was eventually identified as the YouTuber when police arrived.

According to the police report, a lady in the apartment told detectives Samuels had been complaining of chest issues and that she had been trying to help him when he fell.

Samuels was brought to Piedmont Hospital after the woman dialed 911.

Kevin Samuels Career

Kevin Samuels, who identified himself as a “image consultant” on YouTube, had over 1.4 million subscribers.

He made videos about dating and relationships, and he became well-known for the provocative advice he gave his admirers.

His views on women have also been questioned, with him recently being chastised for a video in which he referred to unmarried women over 35 as “leftovers.”

On Instagram, he has 1.2 million followers and has posted relationship tips.

He labels himself as a “image consultant” and “influencer” in his bio, and he has 80,000 TikTok and 30,000 Twitter followers.

In addition, he has 1.42 million YouTube subscribers yet has been dubbed “controversial” by many.

Many people, including some women, vehemently disapproved with Samuels’ misogynistic and demeaning remarks about Black women, while others, including some women, dutifully followed Samuels and his unconventional advise.

Samuels once said,

“If you have made it to 35 and you are unmarried, you are a leftover woman, You are what is left. Men know that there is likely something wrong with you. Whether you want to hear it or not, I’m going to go there with you. I’m telling you the truth that you don’t want to hear. Men know that there is likely something wrong with you—that you can not be an adjustable six or higher—something is wrong with you. That’s where men automatically come with it. And here’s the thing—when you were between the ages of 22 and 25, and you didn’t want to settle—you were trying to get the CEO, the pilot, the investment banker, you were trying to get flewed out…”
