She is a silver medalist in the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2015 European Junior Champion. Her personal best of 71.40 m, set in 2021, is both the Polish record and the third best result in women’s javelin throw competition history.

Andrejczyk competed in the 2015 World Championships in Beijing but did not advance to the final. She won gold at the European Junior Championships in 2015.

Andrejczyk competed for Poland in the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. While competing in the qualifying round on August 16, 2016, she set a new Polish national record and set a personal best of 67.11 meters.

Maria Andrejczyk auctioned off her Olympic silver medal in Tokyo to help fund an 8-month-old baby’s heart surgery. Zabka, a Polish retail chain, won the auction and returned the medal to her.
