Mayra Nohemi Flores (born January 1, 1986) is a Texas-based Mexican American politician and health care provider. She is the Representative-elect for Texas’ 34th congressional district, and she is a Republican.
She was elected to the seat after Congressman Filemon Vela Jr. resigned in March 2022, and she won a special election on June 14, 2022. Flores will be the country’s first Mexican-born representative.
