Court Stops Obaseki From Participating in PDP Primaries

A Federal High court sitting in Port-Harcourt Rivers state has barred Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki from participating in the PDP primaries, FACTBOYZ.COM has learnt.

In a signed document obtained by Factboyz, the high court barred Obaseki from the PDP primaries which was slated to hold on Thursday. Recall that Obaseki was granted a waiver by the PDP party which he recently defected to and hence was given an automatic qualification to run in the election under a new party different from his former party the APC.

The suit was fueled by a PDP aspirant, in Edo state Omorogie Ogbeide-Ihama who swore never to back down for Obaseki. Justice E.A Obile granted the interim requests sought by the applicant.

Omorogie has been critical of Obaseki’s educational qualifications, a point APC used to discredit him and subsequently pushed him to leave the party to join PDP.
