Drama As Appeal Court Sacks Oshiomole Just After Obaseki’s Resignation

A three-man panel appeal court sitting in Abuja has affirmed and confirmed the suspension of Adams Oshiomole as the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman. This is coming just hours after Godwin Obaseki resigned from the party.

In a judgment delivered by Justice Mohammed Lamido, on Tuesday, the three-man panel dismissed Oshiomhole’s appeal for lacking in merit.

The panel’s decision comes after the decision of an Abuja high court in March 2020, which had initially ordered the suspension of Oshiomhole as national chairman of the APC, but was later overturned to Oshiomole’s favour.

However, recall that Oshiomole’s former ally and current political enemy Godwin Obaseki resigned from the APC after meeting the President Muhammadu Buhari.

Obaseki’s resignation was joined by his deputy Mr Philip Shuaibu who joined him to leave the party. Obaseki left the APC after clashes with former governor Adams Oshiomole.
