Governor Godwin Obaseki, on Friday visited the President, Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja
This comes about a week after his stunning victory against Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu in the Edo Governorship elections.
The governor did not mince words as he told State House correspondents at the end of the meeting that it would be immoral for him to return to the All Progressives Congress.
He had dumped the APC for the PDP when the ruling party disqualified him from participating in its primary election.
However, after winning the elections, there have been concerns that he might leave the PDP and return to the APC. Obaseki reassured his supporters during an interview that he wouldn’t do that.
Obaseki and Shuaibu were joined on what they called the “thank you visit” to Buhari by their spouses and some lawmakers from the state.
