A fire outbreak has occurred at the headquarters of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) in Abuja this morning.
Factboyz.com could not immediately ascertain the cause of the fire which began around 9am on Wednesday, May 20th.
However, what is clear us that a large number of staff who are workers in the agency were in their offices when the fire broke out.
A member of staff affirmed the fire service was able to put out the fire “not long ago”.
The Postmaster General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of NIPOST, Ismail Adewusi, who confirmed the inferno assured Nigerians that the fire outbreak would not affect the operations of the agency.
“No cause for alarm over the fire that touched our Office of (Staff) Posting under the Personnel Unit. No damage to any vital document was recorded.
He also thanked the Federal Fire Service for arriving on time and subsequently putting out the fire.
