Régine Alexandra Chassagne is a Canadian singer, songwriter, musician, and multi-instrumentalist. She was born on August 19, 1976, and she is a member of the band Arcade Fire. She is married to Win Butler, one of the company’s co-founders.
Régine Alexandra Chassagne was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, but she spent most of her childhood in the community of St. Lambert, which is located to the south of Montreal.

Chassagne received a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies from Concordia University in 1998 after completing his education at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. After that, he attended McGill University for a short time to study jazz voice.
Win Butler came up to her while she was performing jazz at an art opening at Concordia in the year 2000 and convinced her to become a member of his band. They tied the knot in 2003. On April 21, 2013, ten years after the birth of their daughter, their son was born.
Chassagne has also collaborated with the medieval-themed band Les Jongleurs de la Mandragore[10] and the jazz duo Azcar, which he formed with Jimmy Rouleau.
She also composed the music for the two-minute David Uloth sketch titled “The Shine,” and she participated in the UNICEF benefit project that was a part of the North American Hallowe’en Prevention Initiative by singing the song “Do They Know It’s Hallowe’en?” along with Win Butler. Both of these projects were a part of the North American Hallowe’en Prevention Initiative.
On stage, she can be seen playing a wide variety of instruments, such as the accordion, drums, xylophone, hurdy-gurdy, keyboards, organ, and guitar. In the band Arcade Fire, Chassagne is the lead vocalist for a few of the band’s songs.3
