Keith Papini, is Sherri Papini‘s husband. Keith Papini is still married to Sherri, they have been married since 2009. Keith Papini worked as an Audio-Video Specialist at a Best Buy store. Keith and Sherri have two children together.

When her wife staged the kidnapping, Keith called the daycare right away to find out that Sherri had never gone there to pick up the kids.

Sherri Papini Ex-Boyfriend

Sherri’s ex-boyfriend, James Reyes, was 37 years old. In 2006, Reyes was in a relationship with Sherri, but the two apparently parted up.

Sherri told Reyes that her husband Keith was abusive and that she needed to go. Reyes originally met Papini in 2006 and then reunited with her in December 2015.

Papini was discovered three weeks later wandering along a highway near Woodside, California, and told investigators she had been kidnapped by two Hispanic women. Her lovely blonde hair had been cut short, and she’d fractured her nose, and she’d been branded on one shoulder.

Sherri Papini claimed she was kidnapped while jogging in Redding, California, more than five years ago.

Papini, who is known as a celebrity mother, said that she was kidnapped in her rural community by “two Hispanic ladies.”

The 39-year-old has since revealed it was all a lie.

Papini’s lawyer, William Portanova, verified her client’s detention on March 3 by federal investigators. Sherri Papini agreed to plead guilty to charges of lying to a federal officer and mail fraud in exchange for a reduced sentence.

“I am profoundly embarrassed of my behavior and truly sorry for the anguish I’ve caused my family, friends, and all the good people who have suffered needlessly as a result of my narrative, as well as those who worked so hard to help me,” Papini said in a statement.

I will work for the rest of my life to atone for my actions.”

Why did Sherri Papini pretend to be kidnapped?

Papini’s deception began on November 2, 2016, when she claimed that two armed Hispanic women tortured, brandered, and shackled her in a bedroom.

She was discovered in a parking lot on Thanksgiving Day, 22 days later. The people of Redding spent days looking for her.

The DOJ decided that Papini lied about her kidnapping after conducting an investigation.

“In reality, Papini had voluntarily stayed with a former boyfriend in Costa Mesa and had hurt herself to corroborate her fraudulent assertions,” Department of Justice officials said after her arrest.

“Not only did the 22-day search for Sherri Papini and the subsequent five-year search for who allegedly abducted her drain public resources, but it also made the general public scared for their own safety,” Shasta County Sheriff Michael L. Johnson stated.
