A prop gun is a gun with blank cartridges instead of bullets that is used as a prop in TV shows and movies.
To simulate the sound and smoke of a genuine pistol, blank cartridges nevertheless contain bullets.
When you pull the trigger on a blank cartridge gun, an explosion of highly hot gasses occurs, which usually propels the bullet out.
Although there is no bullet in this situation, the superhot gasses can still be deadly.
During a shot, the cartridge or barrel can be propelled out of the gun at great speeds, injuring or even killing individuals in the immediate vicinity.
We know that a prop gun and blanks were used in the mishap, but the circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unknown.
