“Crescent was SEEN in Saudi Arabia today,” a statement on the official Facebook page of the holy mosques said. “Therefore, the month of Sha’aban will finish 29 days today and tomorrow, Saturday, 2nd April 2022, will be the first day of Ramadan 1443,” it added.
“The Ramadan fasting should begin and end with the sighting of the crescent moon,” according to Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Prophet of Islam.
