David Dahmer is the younger brother of Jeffrey Dahmer, the infamous Cannibal Killer. He is six years younger than his infamous older brother.

As a child, David was named by his older brother Jeffery. Their relationship reportedly suffered slightly as a result of Jeffrey’s belief that David received more attention as the newborn, and he resented his younger brother for it.

They were also very different people. Lionel Dahmer their father stated in a 2004 interview with Larry King Live that Jeffrey was shy and reserved, whereas David was more outgoing.

When their parents divorced, the boys did as well. Jeffrey moved in with their father, while David moved in with their mother, Joyce. Jeffrey murdered his first victim later that year. David would have been around 12 years old at the time, and he would have been living in Wisconsin, far away from Jeffrey.

Jeffrey had already been arrested for his crimes when David graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1991.

At the age of 18, David decided to “sever all ties” with his brother, refusing to appear in any of his brother’s court hearings or trials. Lionel revealed in a Larry King Live interview with his father in 2004 that David legally changed his name to avoid any association with his highly publicized serial killer brother.

David has also remained completely silent, with no interviews, TV appearances, or even quotes about his childhood with Jeffrey.

David is allegedly still alive at the age of 55, though there is no public record of his new identity. He has a good job, a wife, and two children, according to his father and stepmother. There have been no further updates on David Dahmer since 2004.

David Dahmer Wiki

When David was born, his parents were constantly arguing and confronting one another, frequently in front of their two children. Joyce suffered from severe anxiety and became addicted to the medication she took to treat her condition, while David was constantly out working long hours.

According to sources, David received more attention from his parents than Jeffrey, leading the would-be serial killer to resent his younger brother. Lionel and Joyce divorced in 1978, with the mother winning custody of her youngest son.

She fled the family home with David, who was 12 years old at the time. Jeffrey, who was 18 at the time and just weeks away from graduating, stayed at the house alone for about three months, while his father was constantly working.
