Why Did Madonna Split With Ahlamalik Williams? What Happened?
Madonna, 63, has decided to split up with her dancer beau, Ahlamalik Williams 28, with whom she had a 35-year age difference, after things didn’t work out, and they haven’t been seen together since January. After three years together, Madonna and her toyboy partner Ahlamalik Williams have called it quits. After determining that things with the American dancer, 28, were not working out, the celebrity, 63, has told acquaintances she is single again.
Madonna is believed to have ‘thrown herself into’ spending time with her friends and family after the divorce, as well as focusing on new music and her impending biopic, after the couple started dating in 2019.
‘Things with Ahlamalik have been on and off for a time,’ a source told The Sun. There is a lot of love between them, but they have decided to separate for the time being.
‘They are still on good terms and have no harsh sentiments against each other, but they are in different stages of their lives.’
According to the insider, Ahlamalik has now moved out of Madonna’s home as they struggled to keep their ‘relationship alight’ while working on different projects after spending months together in lockdown and on tour.
On Tuesday, Madonna hinted at the breakup on her Instagram story, writing: ‘Karma said: When someone in your life is not good for you….. god will continue to use them to hurt you until you become strong enough to let them go.’
She originally met Ahlamalik in 2015, when he was a dancer on her Rebel Heart tour, and they married in 2019.
His father Drue, 61, said in 2019 that he supported the relationship, explaining: ‘She told us she is so much in love with him and that we didn’t have anything to worry about as she was going to take care of him.
‘We know there’s a huge age gap between the two. Madonna is two years older than me. I asked him how he feels about her and he says he has never been happier.’
