Wales, William Dale, was a jazz musician. On August 17, 1917, he was born. William Dale Wales, a well-known jazz guitarist, married Elizabeth Ann Sheridan, a former American actress and dancer.

In Puerto Rico, the two met. They were married on December 31, 1985, after living together since 1960.

Dale Wales and Liz had one daughter, a photographer residing in Greenwich Village, New York City.

Sheridan had to file for bankruptcy because Wales left behind a $80,000 credit card bill.

Who is Liz Sheridan?

Elizabeth Ann Sheridan was an American actress and dancer who lived from April 10, 1929 until April 15, 2022. Her decades-long career included work as a dancer and actress, and she was best recognized for her appearances as Jerry’s mother in Seinfeld and the nosy neighbor, Mrs. Ochmonek, on ALF.

Sheridan began her professional career in the 1950s as a nightclub dancer and singer, spending much of her early years in the Caribbean. She appeared in one of Julius Monk’s yearly cabaret reviews at Plaza 9, located in the Plaza Hotel, in the late 1960s.

Before going to Los Angeles, she acted in plays and musicals on Broadway, co-starring alongside Meryl Streep and Christopher Lloyd in the 1977 musical Happy End.

She rose to prominence in Hollywood as a supporting actress in over a dozen feature films and 60 prime time network television movies, mini-series, and series, including Kojak, Archie Bunker’s Place, St. Elsewhere, Newhart, Moonlighting, The A-Team, Who’s the Boss, Hill St. Blues, Cagney & Lacey, Family Ties, Murder, She Wrote, and Double Rush. From 1986 through 1990, she starred as nosy neighbor Raquel Ochmonek on the NBC television sitcom ALF. Following that, she landed her most well-known and long-lasting role on Seinfeld as Jerry’s mother, Helen. She was the only actor other than the four stars to appear in all nine seasons, from 1990 to 1998.

Sheridan co-starred in the feature film Play the Game, a romantic comedy about a widowed grandfather who learns dating techniques from his serial romancer of a grandson, alongside Andy Griffith and Doris Roberts in 2009. The film gained notoriety due to a sex scene between Sheridan and Griffith.

Liz Sheridan was an actress who appeared in films such as Who’s That Girl (1987), Play the Game (2009), and ALF (1986).

She died in New York City, New York, on April 15, 2022.
