She was born in Kansas after some time in Kansas, she was taken to Texas where she had her childhood memories in growth. After a successful academic final academic year in high school, Joanna Gaines gained admission to study Communication in a private Baptist research University – Baylor University. Chip did most of the construction work and, Joanna chipped in with her creative designs. Her designs were curated in a blog she established online. The blog gained a wide range of readership and soon enough a HGTV executive spotted her blog and invited Joanna and Chip to feature in HGTV’s Fixer Upper.
The invitation by the HGTV executive brought the couple to limelight as they had even renovated and remodelled more than 100 homes before they starred on Fixer Upper.
