She was most recognized for her performance as Phyllis “Pizzazz” Gabor in the animated television series Jem from 1985 to 1988, in which she played the caustic lead singer of the fictional band The Misfits. Her other voiceover credits include The New Yogi Bear Show, The Snorks, and New Kids on the Block, among others.

Albrecht was cast as Pizzazz in the animated series Jem, which aired from 1985 to 1988 and starred Albrecht as himself. Her role was the lead vocalist for The Misfits, a fictional band that was the antagonists of the main protagonists, Jem and the Holograms.
