Adam Conover (born March 2, 1983) is an American comedian who has a YouTube channel where he posts stand-up comedy and videogames. He’s also renowned as the host of the TruTV show Adam Ruins Everything, which is based on the CollegeHumor series of the same name.

Adam Conover grew up in Wading River, New York, and was born in Smithtown, New York. His parents are marine researcher David O. Conover and botanist Margaret Conover (née Howard). He also has a younger sister, Emily, who is a scientific writer and possesses a Ph.D. in particle physics, prompting him to refer to himself as “the only member of the family without a Ph.D.”

In 2019, he developed the new Earwolf podcast Factually! and played the character “Big Hairy Stallion 69” on the Netflix comedy Tuca and Bertie.

Adam Conover has been hosting the Nickelodeon version of the family game program The Crystal Maze since 2020.
