Prominent Iraqi Shia scholar, Hadi Al-Modarresi has been diagnosed with the deadly coronavirus, just weeks after he affirmed and claimed the deadly disease was “an act of Allah” against the Chinese for their treatment of Uighur Chinese Muslims and overall disrespect for Islam.
The cleric is one of the leading and prominent Shia leaders in Iraq. Below is a video of him airing his views.

The highly revered cleric also confirmed the news of his infection with a tweet on his Twitter page showing him with a face mask.

His nephew, Mohsen Almodaressi also confirms the news and on his Facebook wall, he wrote
“My uncle, may God protect him, is being treated and his health is consistently progressing.”
