Massive Protests in Katsina as Buhari’s Billboard is Set on Fire!

Angry youths in Yan Tumaki town, Danmusa local government area of Katsina State staged a massive protest in the state against insecurity even going as far as burning the President’s Billboard.

A billboard, which had the picture of President Muhammadu Buhari and logo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was brutally burnt down by protesters.

Recall that Buhari is a native of Katsina state.

On Tuesday morning, the residents of the town trooped out en-masse to protest against the attacks and killings by bandits and terrorists.

This recent development is comes just a week after Aminu Masari, governor of Katsina, announced that his administration had pulled out of the peace deal it had with bandits.

Last year, The state government had entered a peace agreement with the gunmen, however residents were still being killed as the gunmen defied the deal.

The first day of June was bloody as bandits shot dead 60-year-old Abu Atiku, district head of Yantumaki.
