Paul Henry Nargeolet’s career spans several decades and unique roles, starting with more than two decades of service in the French Navy. During his time in the navy, he ascended to the position of Commander.
Nargeolet developed a keen interest in deep submersibles and put his expertise to use in 1987 when he spearheaded the first recovery expedition of the Titanic. He continues to contribute to the understanding of this historical ship as the Director of Underwater Research for RMS Titanic, Inc. His work has been widely recognized and featured in multiple films and documentaries on the ship. Over his career, the French explorer has retrieved an astounding 5,000 artefacts from the Titanic, including a massive 20-tonne section of the ship’s hull for detailed examination.
