Trevor Strnad, guitarists Brian Eschbach and Jon Kemppainen, bassist David Lock, and drummer Cory Grady founded The Black Dahlia Murder in Waterford, Michigan, in 2002, when they published “A Cold-Blooded Epitaph” EP.

Strnad was a founding member of The Black Dahlia Murder, a Michigan band who published their demo ‘What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse’ in 2001. The band’s name is drawn from the 1947 unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short, also known as Black Dahlia.

Over the previous two decades, he’s been on all of the band’s albums: ‘Unhallowed’ (2003), ‘Miasma’ (2005), ‘Nocturnal’ (2007), ‘Deflorate’ (2009), ‘Ritual’ (2011), ‘Everblack’ (2013), ‘Abysmal’ (2015), ‘Nightbringers’ (2016). (2017). 2020’s full-length ‘Verminous’ was the band’s most recent release.
