According to authorities, David Bonola, 44, of Queens, was arrested on charges of murder, criminal tampering, and criminal possession of a weapon in the slaying of Orsolya Gaal.

Bonola had been in “an intimate connection” with Gaal for two years, according to Chief of Detectives James Essig, who spoke during a press conference on Thursday. He stated that there are currently no other suspects in her death.

According to police, a trail of blood led them to her Juno Street home about a half-mile distant after they discovered her dead in the bag.

The house was searched and a knife suspected to have been used was discovered.

Bonola was discovered by police on Wednesday night while they were searching for further video evidence in the case. He came in freely for interrogation and “made incriminating statements,” according to Essig.

He had no prior arrests, according to officials.
