Amy Grant, a Christian singer-songwriter who was taken to the hospital after a bicycle accident in Nashville, arrived home on Friday.
Wednesday, Grant hit a pothole while riding close to Harpeth Hills Golf Course, according to the singer’s press agent. She stayed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Wednesday and Thursday nights as doctors treated Grant’s accident-related injuries.
The statement claims that she was wearing a bicycle helmet at the time of the collision.
Amy is currently resting peacefully at home, where doctors have prescribed further recuperation time, according to a statement released Friday afternoon.

Grant postponed a few of her August performances due to her rehabilitation, including appearances on August 18 at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville and August 19 at the Robert Kirk Walker Theatre in Chattanooga.

A message was published on Grant’s social media platforms on Thursday afternoon, thanking those who had “sent prayers and well-wishes” for her recovery.
The Christian pop artist joined George Clooney, Gladys Knight, U2, and Tania León as recipients of the 2022 Kennedy Center Honors last week.
The six-time Grammy winner had open-heart surgery in June 2020 to address a rare congenital cardiac condition. After recovering from the treatment, Grant told “Good Morning America” in February 2021 that she felt “wonderful.”
