A fragment of a human skull was recovered among the apparent human remains discovered yesterday at the Carlton Reserve during the hunt for Laundrie, according to two top law enforcement authorities.
According to the two law enforcement sources, forensic testing is ongoing, but neither federal officials nor the local medical examiner have provided a timeline for when the remains will be identified.

The warrant was issued as a result of a Federal grand jury indictment charging Laundrie with one count of “intent to defraud” in connection with the unauthorized use of a Capital One debit card between August 30 and September 1. The indictment stated that Laundrie used the card to obtain US$1,000 or more between August 30 and September 1.
The FBI retrieved items from Laundrie’s residence in order to match his DNA.
Laundrie’s sister pushed him to turn himself in to authorities in an interview with ABC News on October 5.
Laundrie’s father accompanied investigators in investigating Carlton Reserve on October 7.
The FBI, police, and Laundrie’s parents looked for him at the reserve and the nearby Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, where he used to hang out.
Laundrie’s skeleton remains, confirmed by forensic dentistry, and some of his belongings were discovered in the park on October 20 in an area that had just been flooded.
