Edward Joseph McGuire born on October 29, 1964 is an Australian television host, journalist, and pundit for the Australian Football League. He occasionally writes columns for the Herald Sun.
He was the former Collingwood Football Club president and resigned in 2021 in response to criticism of how he handled a report detailing institutional racism and complicity in racism at the club.
He has experience in game show hosting, sports broadcasting, and sports journalism. Prior to 2006, McGuire presided over Nine Network’s The Footy Show, which debuted in March 1994. He made a two-year comeback in 2017, but left after the show was cancelled in 2018 before it was restructured.
He previously hosted 1 vs. 100 and the Australian version of the game program Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. He resigned as CEO of Nine Network on June 30, 2007.
