On Saturday, July 9 2022, Liv Hovde won the girls’ singles title at Wimbledon, making history as the second American to do it in the previous 30 years.

On No. 1 Court, the junior player defeated Hungary’s Luca Udvardy 6-3, 6-4.

Hovde, who claims that male world number one Novak Djokovic complimented her after her victory, said, “It feels great.” I find it hard to believe.

In 2017, American Claire Liu became the last female champion from her country.

Liv Holde’s parents are supportive of her. Liv’s mother is Michelle Mitchell. She hasn’t disclosed any information about her father, though. She is quite close to her mum.

Hovde’s mother and traveling companion, Michelle Mitchell, has stressed the importance of broadening her daughter’s horizons on her “amazing” trip by taking her to see the Mona Lisa in Paris, for example.

Her mother inspires her and constantly keeps an eye on her behavior. She is also happy to see Hovde’s career progress at such a young age. Michelle is really pleased with her daughter’s accomplishments.

Although Liv plays tennis and spends the most of her time practicing and training, Michelle made it clear that she also takes her daughter on vacations and other enjoyable adventures so that she can grow both as a person and an athlete.
