Apple Macbook M1 Pro & M1 Max Reviews

  • With 10 CPU cores, up to 32 GPU cores, and a 16-core Neural Engine, the M1 Max is the most powerful chip ever designed for a pro notebook. It has double the graphics processing speed and twice the memory bandwidth of the M1 Pro. It also contains two ProRes accelerators for even better multi-stream performance, as well as a dedicated media engine for decoding and two for encoding (with up to two times quicker video encoding).
  • Two new screens are included with the updated model. The 16.2-inch IPS LCD on the 16-inch model has a resolution of 3456×2234. The 14-inch variant, on the other hand, sports a 14.2-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 3024×1964 pixels.
  • Both models have mini-LED backlighting, which consists of a cluster of 10,000 mini-LEDs that allows for fine local dimming and contrast. A 120Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits peak brightness, 1000 nits sustained brightness, and complete Display-P3 wide color coverage are also included in both models. HDR is also supported by both panels.
  • This time, Apple has also reduced the bezels surrounding the display and inserted a notch at the top to accommodate the new 1080p FaceTime HD camera.
  • The macOS operating system has been modified to fit the new notch, which is now elegantly integrated into the top menu bar. The notch is far bigger than it needs to be at the moment, and it appears to be a placeholder for future Face ID functionality.
  • The new MacBook Pro comes in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Each may be set with either the M1 Pro or M1 Max chip and delivers pro-level performance. So, miles away from the edit bay, you can manage millions of polygons in Cinema 4D, edit up to seven streams of 8K ProRes video in Final Cut Pro, or grade colour in HDR on 8K 4×4 ProRes footage.
  • The new MacBook Pro also comes with a six-speaker sound system, which includes two tweeters and four force-cancelling woofers. Dolby Atmos spatial audio is now supported by the speakers.
  • Apple’s new M1 Pro and M1 Max system-on-chip processors power the new MacBook Pro.
  • The M1 Pro MacBook Pro can support up to two 6K Pro Display XDR at the same time thanks to all of the ports and better graphics, while the M1 Max can support three 6K Pro Display XDR as well as a 4K display.
  • The battery life on the new MacBook Pro has also been increased. The 16-inch model can play videos for up to 21 hours and surf the web for up to 14 hours. Meanwhile, the 14-inch model can play videos for 17 hours and surf the web for 11 hours.
