A now-viral video claimed that rapper Goonew’s body was made public at a “disrespectful final show.”

The video, which was shared on Twitter by a Twitter user, shows the body being held up onstage during a screening at Bliss Nightclub. While music was playing, several people were observed loitering about his corpse, snapping pictures with it.

The venue has issued a “celebration of life” entrance pass for the hip-hop legend.

XXL’s sources thought it was a wax figure at first, but rapper Black Fortune, who was present, confirmed there was no “wax figure” at all.

The viewing drew immediate criticism for allegedly disrespecting Goonew after his death. Bliss Nightclub has since issued an apology and provided additional information on the event.

“Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Goonew’s family, friends, and fans. A local funeral home approached Bliss about renting out our space for Goonew’s farewell celebration. Bliss was completely unaware of what was about to happen. We sincerely apologize to anyone who has been offended or angered by our actions “According to Complex, the club informed XXL.
