Carole Crean Husband

Carole Crean is married to her husband and partner Simon Crean. They got married in 1973 and have been together in love ever since. Simon Crean is an Australian politician who was a member of the Australian House of Representatives from 1990 to 2013, representing the Division of Hotham in Victoria for the Australian Labor Party.

Crean was born on February 26, 1949, in Melbourne, Australia. Before entering politics, he was active in the trade union movement, serving as the president of the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) from 1985 to 1990.

During his political career, he held a variety of ministerial roles under several Labor prime ministers. He served as the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy from 1991 to 1993 and Minister for Employment, Education and Training from 1993 to 1996 in the Keating government.

In 2001, Crean was elected as the leader of the Australian Labor Party and thus became the Leader of the Opposition. He served in this capacity until 2003, when he resigned after a period of internal party instability.

In the Rudd and Gillard governments, Crean served in several portfolios, including Minister for Trade (2007–2010), Minister for Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government (2010–2013), and Minister for the Arts (2010–2013).

Simon Crean retired from politics in 2013. As of my knowledge cut-off in September 2021, Crean is retired and occasionally comments on public affairs.
